What's up, you guys? It's Cody Steck, your Utah Realtor here. Another article for the 17 best things to do in Salt Lake City. Let's jump into it.

No.1 Visit Liberty Park.

Liberty park is over 80 acres of amazing Greens space. There's a trail that goes all the way around the park. You can do everything that you want here, from walking, biking, rollerblading, kicking a soccer ball, throwing a Frisbee volleyball. Whatever you want to do here in this park, it's an amazing place to be. And it's right downtown with easy access.

It's an awesome place. And after you're done there, go and stop by the Park Cafe on the south side. You won't regret it.

No.2 Go and visit City Creek Shopping Center.

This is an awesome outdoor and indoor shopping center right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake. It was recently completed just a few years ago and it's actually got a retractable ceiling over the outdoor space. So it's really cool to go and walk around there. They've got a river that runs all the way through it. And it's just a great place to go and do some shopping, and eating, and you can even live there if you're looking for a high-rise luxury condo.

No.3 Temple Square.

You can't go wrong with Temple Square whether you're LDS or not. It doesn't matter. It's a great place to be. It's about ten acres of land right in the heart of Salt Lake City. And this is where the actual grid system that the streets in Salt Lake are based off of.

So it's a really cool place to go and take a stroll around if you're there during the winter. They've got lights all around Temple Square and there are tons of people there looking at them. It's a place worth checking out any time of year. But if you're here, especially in the winter, make sure to go and check it out, bundle up and go take a look at the lights.

No.4 Park City Main Street.

Now, it’s a little bit outside of Salt Lake, but I wanted to include it here just because it's such a fun experience and that's to go and stroll around Park City Main Street.

Park City Main Street is kind of the historic part of Park City. It's about a 30 minutes drive from downtown, depending on traffic and weather. But it's a really cool place to go and find a lot of little shops, and great food. And if you're there, make sure to step off of Main Street and go to a place called Davanza. It's a pizza joint and it's absolutely phenomenal.

No.5 Salt Lake City Clark Planetarium.

This is where you can learn all about Earth and all about space. They have this really cool dome theater. They do about 30 minutes shows there, and you kind of lay back in the seat and there's a Dome where they show you a movie about space or the astronauts. And it's a really cool experience.

No.6 Red Butt Gardens.

This is over 21 acres of themed gardens. It's a really cool place to go. I definitely recommend checking this out in the summer or the fall when you're going to get a lot more vegetation. If you go during the winter or early spring, there's not going to be a lot there. You're mostly just going to see kind of dead vegetation.

But it's a great place to go and check out if you're in the summer or fall months.

No.7 Piper Down Pub.

This is on the south end of Salt Lake City. It's a great pub. When it's time to go and get some food and some drinks, make sure to check this place out.

It's one of the most popular pubs here in town, and they've got live music, TVs, great food, great beer, everything that you would want. So go check it out.

No.8 The Utah State Capital.

It sits upon the Hill and overlooks the entire valley. And it's just a really cool architectural building.

Make sure to go inside, and check out the Dome. There's a lot of really cool stuff to see there, and it's a great place to go and spend an hour or two while you're in town. In fact, in one of my other videos, Top Five Neighborhoods of Salt Lake City, I start the video off at the Capitol building. So go check that out right up on my YouTube channel.

It's a really cool space. It will give you kind of a teaser of what you can expect.

No.9 Hogle Zoo.

If you've got a couple of hours to go walk around or if you've got your kids here, it's a great place to go and look at some animals. They open every single day except for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

And it's a really cheap place to get into. You can get tickets in the winter from about thirteen dollars to seventeen dollars. And in the summer it's about $15 to $20. And of course, if you've got kids under two, they get in for free.

So it's a really cool place where you can go hiking, mountain biking, or even ride horseback out on the island and take a look at the scenery around you and the awesome views of the Great Salt Lake.

No.11 The Gilgal Sculpture Garden.

This is kind of a whimsical, small little place in downtown Salt Lake. Just look it up on Google. You can find it. They've got these weird little sculptures there, but it's really kind of cool to see. You can spend 15, 2030 minutes there just taking a look around it to see what they've got there. They've got some kind of cool stuff, and it's worth seeing.

No.12 Riches Burgers and Grub.

When you're hungry again, go to my favorite burger shop in the entire downtown area. It's called Riches Burgers and Grub.

It's a fantastic burger shop. Make sure to try their Mac and cheeseburger. It's absolutely world-class. I know it might sound a little bit weird, but it's phenomenal and it's really good. So go check out Richard's Burgers.

It's an awesome place when it's time to get some food.

No.13 Enzyme Peak.

It's actually a small hiking trail up behind the Utah state capital. So you might want to do this while you're in the capital.

It's about a mile round trip, and it's a hike that you can take up the Hill behind the capital and overlook the entire valley. It's really cool because you can see all the way out to the west and all the way out to the east. So it's a really cool spot. It's an easy hike and you've got great views.

No.14 Bonneville Salt Flats.

If you want to see something that's a little bit more iconic, head out to the Bonneville Salt Flats. There's not much to see there except a whole bunch of salt and flat land. This is the place where a ton of movies and car commercials have been shot, and it's home to a ton of land speed records.

No.15 The Natural History Museum.

This is a really cool Museum, and they focus primarily on Utah and the west and the history that we have here.

They have expos and different exhibits all throughout the year. So depending on when you're here, look up and see what exhibits they have going on so if it's something you're interested in and go check it out, it's worth seeing even if you just want to stop in for 30 minutes or an hour.

No.16 The Salt Lake City Public Library.

This is a really cool library. It's fairly new and just the architecture alone is worth seeing.

If you want to sit down and read a book if you've got some time to spend then go ahead and do that and make sure if you're here in the summer months to spend your time on the rooftop garden it's a really cool place to be. There's a cafe there and there are even some other food options surrounding the grounds.

No.17 Brewvies.

It's time to ditch the soda, grab a beer and some of your favorite food, and go watch one of your favorite movies here. It's a great place where you can get good food and great drinks and spend an enjoyable time in a little bit different from a movie atmosphere.

So, guys, that wraps up our list here of the 17 top things to do here in Salt Lake city.
